Consolation Championship Match in Go 4 Goal

Game 12 (10-2-0)
Vs.  Normal in the 5th place match of the A-Bracket (3-0)

We played an abnormal high school yesterday, and we played Normal High today out of Bloomington, Illinois.

We created 9 corners and seem bought in to our deadballs and defense first philosophy. We did not score any from the field despite some nice attacks, and still won 3-0. That’s the power of the deadball.

And despite playing a second straight match without our Homecoming King, we saw great play again from Mitchell and DJ in the middle of the back. In fact, BWhite named Mitchell Farrar the BWhite Player of the Match. (But he gave a shoutout to the entire roster—I mean everyone played so well!).

Stats:

First Half:

Saints: Shots: 9 (7). Corners: 5 (Nen 2, Parker, DJ, Martin)

30:00 Kitts (Parker heaves it for a DJ head-out with Schroeder heading it down and back on for a DJ to Kitts)

7:40 Young (Welch corner headed down by DJ to front post)

Normal:  Shots:  1 (0). Corners: 1

Second Half:

Saints: Shots: 3 (1) Corners: 4 (Kanakares, Russell, Konnesky, Stoecklein)

31:00 Stoecklein (Welch free kick to Farrar header)

Normal: 2 (1) Corners: 2
