28th Regional Title

Game 18: (16-2)31 October: Region 1 Finals at STA vs. Sumner Academy (4-1)

Sumner pretty much looked like the team we expected. They were extremely good on the ball.  The did have a very good keeper—I am not sure we expected that. They were also pretty savvy defending set-pieces. We did finally break through on a few, but this game was still 0-0 with 5 left in the first half.

BWhite had to name Parker Stoecklein as the BWhite Player of the Match: he scored 3 more goals, and we only notched 4. He moved his goal total to 21 on the season.

The boys rang up 17 corners for the game, Parker creating 6 of them, Russell, 4 of them.

We did give up our first goal at home all year. And we gave up our first deadball goal of the year. It was a nice strike, off a corner, as we did not get it cleared.

We did have a couple more guys make varsity debuts tonight. Peyton Reboulet and Ryan Pope got in to provide us with some nice minutes.

We did win our boys'-soccer-state-best 28th Regional Title, and we did extend our streak to 18 in a row, but we are back in the State Quarterfinals against BV Southwest once again. We did beat them 1-0 the first time we played them, but this will be a whole lot of want-to from both squads.

Don't miss this one. The winner becomes a huge favorite in the Final 4 for the whole thing.
