Game 10 (8-2–0)
3 October in Burlington Iowa in Go For Goal (1-2)
We tied it 40 seconds before the first half ended, but then we lost it with 40 seconds left in the match.
Overall, it was a pretty darn good high school soccer game. Obviously the 11-0-2 Morton, 10 in the country was going to be good. It was nice to see that we were right with them the whole match.
Michell Farrar and DJ White were the BWhite Players of the match. After a quick goal by Morton, we moved Farrar to the 6 while slipping DJ into the centerback slot next to Gabe. The only goal scored the rest of the way was the 40 yarder with 40 seconds left.
Parker did continue to be a beast up top. The opposing coach sought him out after the match to tell how much he admired his play.
It won’t get any easier tomorrow as we will take on Gateway Legacy, the #7 team in the poll.
